This I can’t wait for. Grant is one of my biggest musical influences, full stop. His new album HOT WAX is the shit. If you want poetry, wisdom, melody and punk rock fire all wrapped up together he is your man. He used to be in
Husker Du for god’s sake.
There’s no point in talking it down, these two gigs will be killer. I’m playing solo.. the only thing is – what songs to play?

Another gig, this time at Ric’s. It’s been a while.
Free entry, and a kick-ass support band SULPHUR LIGHTS – they’re like a really authentic 60’s garage rock band – choppy riffs, a bit of screaming, pretty primal, all the right ingredients are in place.
Just the thing to warm you up for OUR brand of uber lush, layered and complex thoughtful adult rock. Ha – I’m kidding.

Thanks to everyone at the IHH show, that was a good one!
We’ve been mixing tracks all weekend since then and have that studio zombie thing going on, big time.
Makes next Saturday’s VALLEY FIESTA the perfect antidote, what with its Day Of The Dead theme n’ all.
We play at 2.;45 in the afternoon. Come on..

is this:
I HEART HIROSHIMA
New album The Rip and October Album launch tour.
With the latest installment in this trail of construction about to flood the driest of lands I Heart Hiroshima will release their much agitated second album THE RIP on October 2.
Swimming against the incessant currents they recorded the album early this year in the long grass of Runcorn with compatriot Mirko Vogel, before sailing to the distant shores of England to mix it all up back of lanes with Andy Gill (Gang of Four) in the much loved Beauchamp Building.
First ship out of the dock Shakeytown has drawn the light of recognition and many a sailor will bless their saviour from the rocks.
THE ZOO, Friday October 16th.
features guests WE ALL WANT TO and HEINZ REIGLER (from Not From There)
Tickets: all OzTix outlets, ph: 1300 762 545, online at www.thezoo.com.au & www.consume.com.au

avoidance of snare ~ pathological?? hmmm I do like that turn of phrase… Seriously, though..thanks to Fasterlouder for their review. It’s nice to know that the local scene is being well covered for live reviews. Who knows it could have been Wolfmother that bumped us off the page.
Come down to our Powerhouse show tomorrow arv’ at 6pm. It’s our last for the Residents series. More shows coming so whatch this space for promo.
