We All Want To

Finally some news! We are joining THE GIN CLUB at one of the Brisbane launch gigs for their new album Deathwish. It’s one of our first gigs for the year, and we’re gagging for it.

Friday 2 July: THE TROUBADOUR, Brisbane – with The Eagle and the Worm. There are limited tickets to this show, get them now I reckon.  Tickets here.

In other news our album IS still gonna come out in the next few months,we’re just getting it prepared right – like a good chocolate cake you can’t rush these things.

We have also been writing a ton of songs, we have 15 new ones up our sleeves for album number 2 already. What are we like?

Our album is as good as done. 10 songs, nice and tidy. We’ll announce the release date soon and start previewing tracks here. One a week!

In the meantime, we need a video made, or even better, 2 videos! We don’t have a stack of cash, but we do have ideas, and we will take you out to dinner and most likely you’ll get a few glasses of wine too. And you’ll get to work on our music with us before anyone else even hears it.

This I can’t wait for. Grant is one of my biggest musical influences, full stop. His new album HOT WAX is the shit. If you want poetry, wisdom, melody and punk rock fire all wrapped up together he is your man. He used to be in Husker Du for god’s sake.

There’s no point in talking it down, these two gigs will be killer. I’m playing solo.. the only thing is – what songs to play?

Another gig, this time at Ric’s. It’s been a while.
Free entry, and a kick-ass support band SULPHUR LIGHTS – they’re like a really authentic 60′s garage rock band – choppy riffs, a bit of screaming, pretty primal, all the right ingredients are in place.
Just the thing to warm you up for OUR brand of uber lush, layered and complex thoughtful adult rock. Ha – I’m kidding.
