I HEART HIROSHIMA

New album The Rip and October Album launch tour.

With the latest installment in this trail of construction about to flood the driest of lands I Heart Hiroshima will release their much agitated second album THE RIP on October 2.

Swimming against the incessant currents they recorded the album early this year in the long grass of Runcorn with compatriot Mirko Vogel, before sailing to the distant shores of England to mix it all up back of lanes with Andy Gill (Gang of Four) in the much loved Beauchamp Building.

First ship out of the dock Shakeytown has drawn the light of recognition and many a sailor will bless their saviour from the rocks.

THE ZOO, Friday October 16th.

avoidance of snare ~  pathological?? hmmm  I do like that turn of phrase…  Seriously, though..thanks to Fasterlouder for their review.  It’s nice to know that the local scene is being well covered for live reviews.  Who knows it could have been Wolfmother that bumped us off the page.

Come down to our Powerhouse show tomorrow arv’ at 6pm.  It’s our last for the Residents series. More shows coming so whatch this space for promo.

THE RESIDENTS PROMO POSTER SEPT 2009

Mondayitis and vacational musings..

I’ll see your Tucker B’s and raise you a No Through Road..How much amazing music can LTI discover and get out into the ether? Where The Tucker Bs make you want to kick out and let go, NTR will make you want to jump in your car and take a road trip headlong to anywhere you care to get lost..We’re playing with them in December and we can’t wait.

Lots happening at WAWT central. We’re a mad melange of mixing mayhem bouncing tracks back and forth to Magoo and we’re plotting our last Residents show antics for this Friday, the 25th.. There will be some surprises – make sure you come down to The Powerhouse.

Make sure you check out our page on Last FM..and while you’re there go visit the other LTI stuff..

Friday, on a Thursday

Listening to Tucker Bs on lastfm radio. What a killer band, the kind of music that makes you forget everything and just let go. Ha! It’s true though..

Our powerhouse shows have been going pretty well – last week Todd was up from Melbourne so we were able to perform as a full band, which meant we could do two of our most favourite songs, Underwater and Let’s Not Lose What We Had – which both feature piano and bass and guitar. LNLWWH also has dual drum action up the front, which tends to shake people up a bit.

This week’s show will just be the 4 of us again, but we need help with certain songs so don’t be afraid to volunteer for the harmonium part or something when we ask for help – it’s easy!
